How To Take Gelagen
Two gummies, before a meal, every day. Everything else on this page exists to make that easy to keep up for twelve weeks.
The Gelagen Serving, Exactly
| Serving size | 2 gummies |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Once daily, both gummies together |
| When | About 30 minutes before breakfast or lunch |
| With what | A full glass of water |
| Servings per bottle | 30, which is one month |
| Cycling | No break is specified by the label |
Step One: Two Gummies, Chewed
Chew them properly rather than swallowing them whole. That is the format working as intended, and it also means you notice you have taken them, which sounds trivial and is the single most common cause of a missed day.
Both gummies go together. There is no morning-and-evening split and no benefit to spreading them out.
Step Two: Half An Hour Before A Meal
Roughly thirty minutes before breakfast or lunch, with a full glass of water. Precision is not the point — consistency is. An approximate time you hit every single day beats a perfect time you hit four days out of seven.
- If you eat breakfast: take them while the kettle is on. This is the version that survives.
- If you skip breakfast: take them half an hour before your first real meal, even if that is one in the afternoon.
- If your mornings are chaos: put the bottle next to the kettle or the coffee machine, not in a cupboard. Visible beats organised.
Step Three: Take A Photo On Day One
This is the most useful thing on the page and almost nobody does it. Same light, same spot, same time of day, no make-up. Skin changes far too slowly for memory to judge, and memory quietly rewrites the baseline in whichever direction you expect. A photograph does not.
Write one line alongside it about how your skin currently feels — tight after washing, shiny by noon, whatever your actual complaint is. That sentence is what you will compare against, and it is worth more than the photo.
Step Four: Look Again At Week Four And Week Twelve
Not week one, and preferably not week two either. Week four is one turnover cycle and the earliest fair look. Week twelve is three cycles and the real one. The bottle holds a month, so three bottles is exactly one honest trial.
Missed A Day?
Take them whenever you remember on the same day. If the day has gone, skip it and carry on tomorrow. Never take four the next morning to catch up — you gain nothing, and with vitamin A in the formula there is an actual upper limit worth respecting rather than a theoretical one.
One missed day a month changes nothing. Five missed days a month is a routine problem rather than a memory problem, and the fix is to move the gummies somewhere you cannot avoid seeing them.
Two Is The Serving. Four Is Not Twice As Good.
It is a common instinct and it is wrong here for a specific reason. The B vitamins are water soluble and the excess is simply excreted, so extra gummies mostly produce expensive urine. Vitamin A is different: it is fat soluble, it is stored in the liver, and it has a published upper limit. Doubling a vitamin A containing supplement is the one place in this formula where more is genuinely not better.
Before A Blood Test
Gelagen contains biotin, and biotin interferes with a range of laboratory immunoassays — thyroid panels and cardiac troponin tests are the usual examples. It does no harm and it does not have to be stopped, but the laboratory needs to know, because a distorted result is worse than a delayed one. Mention it when blood is taken.
Storing The Bottle
Gummies are more sensitive to heat and humidity than capsules, because heat softens them and they stick together. Keep the bottle somewhere cool, dry and dark with the lid closed properly, and leave the desiccant sachet in it. Not the bathroom, not the windowsill, and not the car in July. There is more in the storage article.
The Twelve Week Method, In Order
- Day one. Photo, plus one line about how your skin feels.
- Weeks one to three. Two gummies daily at the same time. Change nothing else.
- Week four. Second photo, same light, same spot. Compare.
- Weeks five to eleven. Carry on. This is the boring part and it is the part that matters.
- Week twelve. Third photo. Read your day-one line. Decide.
Twelve weeks is eighty-four days, comfortably inside the sixty-day guarantee window if you order three bottles and decide by day fifty-six — which is week eight, and usually enough. The arithmetic is laid out on the guarantee page.
Answers
More On How To Take It
The questions this page raises most often.
How many Gelagen gummies a day?
Two, taken together, about thirty minutes before a meal with water. There is no benefit to taking more.
Morning or evening?
Before breakfast or lunch. The label suggests roughly thirty minutes before a meal, and morning is the version most people keep up with.
What if I miss a day?
Take them later the same day, or skip and carry on tomorrow. Never double up, because of the vitamin A.
Can I take them with my other vitamins?
Check the total vitamin A across everything you take, because that is the one with an upper limit. A pharmacist can add it up in two minutes.
Do I need to stop before a blood test?
Ask the laboratory. What matters most is that they know about the biotin, because a distorted result is worse than a delayed one.
